Stoneware wall clock rg011
Bright sea green, with brass shavings
It is 33 cm (c. 13") high and 21 cm (c. 8") wide of size, and 690 gr of weight.
This wall clock is made with a stoneware plate keeping the unique and unrepeatable shape created by flattening the material. I have decorated it by my fingers smeared with liquid clay. This creates a strong texture to produce spontaneous effects of the mixing glazes. It is a decorative and functional piece, without numbers that disturb the look of the created landscape. It is a work of high craftsmanship, elaborated and carefully designed in all its details. Do not miss the opportunity to have this small work of art decorating a wall of your house.

Features
This piece was fired at high temperature (first at 980ºC – 1800ºF, then I glazed it and it was fired at least once again at 1250ºC - 2280ºF). I have used bright sea green glaze with various shades and brass shavings in positions 12, 3, 6 and 9. Into the kiln, the glazes melt and mix creating unrepeatable and unique effects. The cord is bright turquoise rayon.
Materials
I prepare by myself the glazes using high quality raw materials. They properly melt on the piece in the final firing and are transformed in a coloured inert glass. In the pieces of daily use the glaze is not altered by the acids of some foods, nor with sudden changes in temperature, etc. All this makes these everyday items food safe and microwave and dishwasher safe.
This piece is made of stoneware, it is a material used in tableware for restaurants and home. Like the cups of different sizes, and the bowls, plates, etc. for food use that you can find in this store. There are also porcelain bowls and plates and other decorative pieces. Porcelain is a harder material than stoneware, although it is more delicate to work with. It allows thinner walls and can be translucent. This makes it perfect for special pieces and lampshades. This clock is a decorative piece as well as others with mixed techniques in which I use other non-ceramic materials.
